feedback etiquette

Above all else, we cheer each other on.

feedback is essential, so let's make it enjoyable.  Here are 3 questions to ask yourself before you participate.

  1. Public speaking is ranked as the number one fear, therefore we want to identify strengths as often as we point out weaknesses.  Always ask yourself: what are this speaker's 3 greatest strengths?
  2. Each person is truly unique, therefore we want to recognize it is far more important for people to speak from their hearts in their authentic voices than to robotically know all the fancy techniques.  Always ask yourself: What about this person's background makes them special?
  3. People have different levels of sensitivities to feedback, therefore we want to always stay upbeat and encouraging.  Always ask yourself: when I feel vulnerable, how do I like people to treat me?
